NEW!!! Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask AND Eternal Youth Exfoliating Scrub.
My journey with Valentia continues forward! I am still using the Valentia True Glow Eye Cream daily and each week I see more brightness and less puffiness under my eyes.
Now the Valentia Company has graced me with their detoxifying clay mask and exfoliating scrub to review just for you!
Valentia Eternal Youth Exfoliating Scrub
I swapped my St. Ives Apricot Scrub for the Eternal Youth Exfoliating Scrub. But before my review, let’s first take a look at what’s inside.
This product contains 98% natural ingredients. It’s vegan friendly, cruelty free and made in the United States. Valentia products are made in a beauty lab owned and operated by women.
According to Valentia the scrub contains…
ALL NATURAL BUTTERS (Avocado, Olive, Kukui) : Specialized moisturizing ingredients including three different types of tropical butters hydrate dry skin, helping to repair signs of aging that leave skin dull and lifeless. Aloe Vera, a nutrient rich plant firms and hydrates skin leaving it feeling smooth and looking luminescent all day long.
VITAMIN RICH INGREDIENTS: Nourishing vitamins such as A, B1, B2, D and E work to smooth rough and uneven skin, combat the signs of aging and softens skin. Anti-inflammatory properties from white and green tea give skin a smooth, youthful glow.
The exfoliating scrub contains green and white teas, and a blend of tropical butters. The benefits of the tea are its anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties.
Other natural ingredients include aloe vera and jojoba beads. Aloe vera is packed with nutrients. I often use it alone to moisturize my skin. The jojoba beads exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin cells.
The scrub promises to prevent breakouts, brighten skin, improve skin tone and soften the skin.
So is it bye or buy for this exfoliating scrub?
As always, I love a company that offers safe viable products for the skin. It’s gentle enough to use on a daily basis.
Gently, I massage the scrub in a circular motion on my face. Every morning the results were clean, clear and soft skin. The exfoliating is light and gentle.
My only issue with the scrub is the fragrance. It could be the green or white tea or some another ingredient. I can’t quite find the words to describe it.
It is not unbearable and certainly worth the results. Still, to satisfy my sensitive nose I will still reach for my apricot or homemade scrub.
So I am standing at the crossroads on this one. I am not likely to purchase this for myself, but I would recommend it for anyone looking for a more natural, vegan skin scrub.
But now for the star of our show!!!
Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask
Can I just say that I have never had a clay mask experience like I’ve had with my new holy grail of skin products!
The Valentia Detoxifying clay mask promises to draw out impurities, leaving skin clear and smooth. This is a product that comes through with every promise made!
I learned very quickly after my first experience with this detoxifying mask that my skin was not as clean as I thought.
The thought of toxins embedded in our skin can make your skin crawl. Toxins from make-up, products and especially our environment can be absorbed by our skin.
So let’s take a look at what’s inside: (Quoted information was taken from Valentia’s Amazon product description)
Kaolin Clay : The foundation of this mask is Kaolin Clay, a gentle but powerful clay widely known for its detoxifying powers. Kaolin clay minerals draw out skin impurities, improve skin tone, and tighten pores for smoother firmer skin.
Plants Stem Cells, 3% : This French developed constituent naturally decreases the level of pro-aging toxins. This helps to soothe the skin, reduce redness, and improve evenness.
Wakame Bioferment, 2% : One of the only known substances known to tackle aging at the source. Derived from seaweed, a natural youthening ingredient, it delivers potent anti-aging effects, boosting cell efficiency to minimize damage at the cellular level where aging begins.
Vitamin C, 5% : Latest research shows Vitamin C plays a key role in combating exposure to everyday environmental elements like sunlight and air pollution. Vitamin C protects skin for harmful UV rays and neutralizes free radicals to combat fine lines, wrinkles, and improve skin tone and texture.
Matrixyl, 3% : A unique peptide that specifically work by stimulating collaged synthesis and skin repair. This means the protein collagen of skin is increased, giving skin its elasticity.
CoQ10, 1% : Occurring naturally in the human body and responsible for cell production, CoQ10 lessens the appearance of wrinkles by reducing free radical damage and stimulating healthy collagen production.
So is it bye or buy for this detoxifying clay mask?
I won’t even hold you in suspense on this one. This is a must have in my skin care routine. It truly is a spa treatment for your face at home.
It could just be a psychological thing, but I enjoy “feeling” a product work.
I love immediately seeing a change after using a product. Especially one that is more expensive than a drug store brand.
The treatment is as simple as applying the clay mask and leaving it on for 15 minutes.
Within the first few minutes I could feel the clay tightening on my skin. Then there was a tingling sensation that got a little intense for a few seconds.
The impurities in my skin were lifting!
For me the tingling subsides well before 15 minutes. To finish, I gently wipe my face clean with a soft cloth and warm water.
My personal preference is to use the clay mask once per week. I have combination skin and the detoxification may be too drying for some areas of my face.
The bottom line is that you want to be good to your body both inside and out. This is our only temple, treat it wisely.
