Home Remedies for Hair Growth | Part One | Hair Regeneration Herb Tea
My number one hair goal for 2016 is to grow my hair longer and strong. There are many home remedies for hair growth, so I selected a few of them to try over the course of the year.
Will they actually work? The older folks used to say that the proof is in the pudding. So let’s get started!
My first home remedy of choice is the 100% natural Hair Regeneration Herb Tea by Health King. Herbal teas can easily be made at home. The benefit of this one is that all the herbs are bagged for you and ready to steep.
It is caffeine-free and actually has a nice flavor. Other herbal teas that I’ve tried (for simple pleasure) have been bitter or sometimes too spicy for my taste.
I drink this herb tea alone but adding lemon or honey would certainly add to its enjoyment.
This hair regeneration tea contains a proprietary blend of Privet (root), Black Sesame (seed), Fo-Ti (root), Polygonatum (root) and Eleuthero (leaf). There are no other added ingredients.
These herbs can be used for various purposes. Each one individually can benefit the entire body, but here’s a quick glance at the hair benefits of each one.
- Privet Root – Promotes hair growth and darkening of hair
jars of lemon ice tea with striped straw
- Black Sesame – An excellent source of magnesium which is beneficial for hair growth and preventing hair loss
- Fo-Ti – Used in traditional Chinese medicine and is said to promote fast hair growth and darkening of the hair.
- Polygonatum Root – Is said to restore hair color and reduce the signs of aging
- Eleuthero Leaf – Used as a natural hair loss cure
Directions: Steep 1-2 tea bags in hot water for 3 to 5 minutes for hot tea. When preparing iced tea, steep in hot water and refrigerate. Consult your physician before use if you are pregnant or nursing.
The recommended use is 2 to 4 bags a day. For me that translates to a cup of hair regeneration tea in the morning and another with dinner.
One box contains 20 tea bags. There are no claims as to how much hair growth can be achieved after finishing just one box, so to be fair I’ve purchased enough to have 2 bags for the next 30 days.
The Health King Hair Regeneration Tea can easily be found and purchased across the web. It’s inexpensive too. Gotta love budget friendly natural products.
Here is my starting length…my hair is pulled back into a ponytail and pulled forward.Starting Length ~ March 10th, 2016
After one too many flat-iron sessions with my stylist last summer, the ends of my hair were in need of repair. I took the quick and easy way out by cutting 4 inches of hair between July and December of 2015.
Are you as interested as I am to see if I exceed my normal monthly hair growth rate? Stay tuned for my week to week home remedies for hair growth updates and final review in April!
